Bang

Where did that come from

Twirling, swirling, spin to the ground

Thud

Am I alive

 

What can I hear

Too much noise

No words make sense

I don’t even feel scared

 

I need to calm this down

Whatever this is

Just make it stop

Anything to bring peace

 

It won’t last long

It never does

Feels like a lifetime

But it will be over soon

 

At last, I can breathe

Devastation behind

Broken can be mended

Not me of course

That’s okay for now

 

I am starting to ache

Pain

Where did that come from

Didn’t feel it before

I need to sit down
